I suggest you also use rain backgrounds as wallpaper for your
desktop and not a background for a webpage since text is very difficult
to see when placed directly ontop the graphic and because the graphic is
not seemless (done on purpose by the way). However if you do your text
in a table with a solid background similiar to this one, using it as a
background can work. It just takes some creativity. You can place your
entire content in a table like this and make the background look like a
border around it. Always think of ways to use a background other then placing
text and images directly on it. Sometimes visitors think it is really creative
and wonder how you did it not knowing that it was something so very simple.
This especially works well with this catagory of backgrounds too.
